Cataloguing Services
The Great Library's Library Systems and Technical Services Department provides cataloguing and processing services to libraries for legal materials.
The cataloguing service includes high-level cataloguing using the following standards:
- KF Modified for common law legal material
- LC Classification for non-common law and non-legal material
- MARC 21 format for bibliographic data
- RDA and LC rule interpretations for descriptive cataloguing
- Library of Congress and Canadian Subject Headings
- enhanced table of contents notes for Law Society of Upper Canada CLE materials
- customized records, including holdings information for individual libraries
Online County & District Law Library Reporting Forms
Two online reporting forms are available for the submission of cataloguing requests by county and district law libraries in Ontario.
