There are many ways to learn about Osgoode Hall, home of the Law Society of Ontario, the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Superior Court of Justice.

Summer Tours

Tours of Osgoode Hall, conducted by Law Society staff on their lunch hours, take place Monday to Friday in July and August, starting at 1:15 p.m. each day. No tours on Simcoe Day, the first Monday in August. Reservations are not necessary. Enter the building through the centre doors, facing Queen Street.

Booked Tours

Groups of 10 to 25 people may book tours from September to June. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. For more information, email the Law Society's curator, Elise Brunet.

Tours by videoconference (Zoom or Teams)

Distance or lack of mobility are no longer obstacles to touring Osgoode Hall. Groups of 10 people or more can book virtual tours through videoconference. Videoconference tours consist of a slide presentation combining high quality images of the building and archival material, presented by the Curator. The sessions are interactive and questions are encouraged. All reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. Email the Law Society Curator, Elise Brunet or call (416) 947-4041.

Audio Tours

Free self-guided tours in MP3 format allow you to enjoy Osgoode Hall outside our regular tour calendar, all year round.  Transcripts are available.

Osgoode Hall App  

Osgoode Hall, a National Historic Site of Canada, has been delighting visitors since the mid-19th century. The home of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Law Society of Ontario, it is the hub of legal activity in downtown Toronto. 

This app is a growing collection of tours on artistic, historical and legal themes that provide a perfect excuse for wandering its halls and landscaped grounds. 

Please note that  Osgoode Hall is currently closed to visitors.

Doors Open

Each year at the end May, Osgoode Hall opens its doors to the public as a part of Doors Open Toronto, the city-wide celebration of Toronto’s buildings.
