Biographical Sketch
Samuel Horrocks (d. July 1828) was a coin dealer in Oldham, County of Lancaster, England. Samuel and Betty Horrocks (d. 21 June 1845) had three children: Joseph, Mary, and Samuel.

Scope and Content
Fonds consists of records documenting the transfer of property within the Horrocks family of Oldham, England. The fonds includes a letter of administration granting Samuel Horrock's widow, Betty, the goods of her husband who died intestate; a release of the estates of Samuel Horrocks and Joseph Bradley; assignments and release in the estate of Betty Horrocks; and, a schedule of documents regarding the estate of Samuel Horrocks and Betty Horrocks. The fonds also includes an unidentified parchment document.
