Self-Assessment Questions

In accordance with Recommendation 3(3) of the Challenges Faced by Racialized Licensees Working Group Final Report (“Working Together for Change: Strategies to Address Issues of Systemic Racism in the Legal Professions”), a licensee representative from each legal workplace with at least 10 licensees in Ontario must complete an equality, diversity and inclusion self-assessment for their legal workplace. The self-assessment will be included in the Lawyer Annual Report and Paralegal Annual Report every two years, beginning with the 2018 Annual Reports.
The self-assessment will allow legal workplaces to engage in dialogue and reflection on the current state of diversity and inclusion within their workplace and encourage them to work proactively to advance diversity and inclusion. A preview of the self-assessment questions is available here.
More information about the inclusion index is available here.
